There shouldn't be any trouble at all. It's ideal to use rw discs for a DVD recorder, so it doesn't really matter if they are + or -. Or am I missing your meaning?

DVDRW's generally have problems being read on regular DVD Players.

Still, if that is your main one, then it doesn't matter. Also computers can read them so you can convert them later.

Some dvd recorders will only record using certain types of media, alot will only be compatible with -r or-rw and others will be compatible with +r or +rw media. But there are recorders out there that will record using all 4 kinds of media. Not sure about dvd ram discs though :?

I’ve got a Daewoo machine that’s supposed to be RW and +R compatible. It will read both types of disc, but I have had problems trying to record straight on to +R discs.

Now I make my original recordings on RW discs and burn copies from these on the PC.
