I remember him in "Night Shift" rubbing Henry Winkler's sandwich on the wall. He had a niche' of playing somewhat cranky and personally edgy characters and did it quite well. He also did a good job as Latka and Simka's pastor on "Taxi".
I'm sad to see him pass at such a young age.

Was he in the movie, the Hills Have Eyes? May he rest in peace.

YES! I had forgotten his appearance in that movie. I loved that flick, especially Michale Keaton's explanation of the word "prostitution."

Specifically, lung cancer.
I'm going to take a guess it was from cigarettes.
57 is too soon.
I have "Nightshift" on DVD which I found cheap. It was an early favorite of mine. I'm not sure if it still holds up but I'll check it out soon.

Thanks Colin and Gregory.
Well, it´s amazing the number of people that dies with cancer!!
And yes! 57 years old and he was young. He could have lived much more but he completed his mission.
