This must be why every musician, engineer and record label fell all over themselves trying to curry his favor when he returned to the record business in 1980.

Every musician, engineer and record label??

A wee bit of over-exaggeration there don't you think.......lol

Obviously not every musician, engineer, and record label liked John Lennon..........They have different musical taste's and preferences the same as everyone else.

JL wasn't everybody's cup of tea ya know.

I heard that McCartney begged to come and play bass for John

and that George begged to play slide guitar for him

and Ringo begged to play drums

and Scruffy McTwerp begged to play glochenschpiel

and Clapton was so desperate to be involved,
he tried to blackmail Lennon to get to play lead
(threatened to screw Yoko and write "Layla II")

Squirrel, you laugh (well, your gif does)
but it's true.

In fact, Paul's chance to play on the John & Yoko Comeback Album
is what split up Wings.

Paul cancelled a Wings tour, gave everyone severence pay,
and eagerly flew to New York for the Geffen sessions.

But sadly, they had a row and it went sour.

Yoko insisted that Paul play in the key of M#.

Paul said, "There is no key of M."

Yoko nodded, "Yes. M. You play. Play M sharp."

John, being the whipped hubbie, agreed with Yoko and
said, "Sure Paul. M sharp. Same thing as N flat."

Yoko said, "We must be in tune with the clouds."

"You two," Paul scoffed, "are still as daft as ever."

He hoisted his Hofner up onto his shoulder and walked out.

Well, Yoko got even.

She called some nefarious people in her homeland and
they set Paul up for a pot bust at the Tokyo airport.

If you hate junkies so much, how come you still like Elvis?

Well, it isn't anywhere is it ?

Hence its name.

Why don't you guys take all this Beatles-related stuff to their MB ?

You might get more constructive answers over there.
