A Christmas Story. ("You'll shoot your eye out Kid!")
Both versions of Miracle On 34th Street.
I also love The Quiet Man, the perennial St. Patrick's Day favorite.

Am I the only person in the world who thinks It's a Wonderful Life is an AWFUL film? I can't stand it.

Yes, probably!

I do think it is a touch overrated, but I wouldn't call it awful.

My fave Christmas film is probably Scrooge (aka A Christmas Carol), starring Alastair Sim.

ITS A WONDERFUL LIFE. A true masterpiece.

On a side note...I don't know, I consider Rocky at least a partial holiday movie, and so I think everyone should watch it at Christmas.

Gosh, on this site, where's Bad Santa?? I didn't see it, but I do like Billy Bob!! I thought he did a masterful job on Sling Blade.

Sue,
If you like Billy Bob, then you simply must see Bad Santa. Actually, I would recommend the unrated Bad (der) Santa, as it is quite a bit funnier (and cruder). Either version is hilarious, though.
