Can't wait to see the Killer again, but be sure to be in the bar when Blondell is on. He's an atrocious nobody.

100% on that....

Wonder if yer man lee will do more that 29 mins??? this time round.

Mon Oct 10, 2005 12:59 am

29 minutes will be fine for me because it'll be 29 minutes of prime Killer - no filler.

You must have more £££ than sense.

Just getting my priorities right, that's all.

Good and fair point.

Hope he shows up. I had tickets to see him a few years ago in Green Bay, WI, with Billy Lee Riley opening. I could sense while Riley was on that Jerry Lee wasn't even there. There was just nothing happening backstage. Sure enough, when it came to be show time, Riley walked out with a rep from the venue to say, "We regret to inform you that Jerry Lee just called from his hotel to say he is too ill to perform." I didn't buy that. Nobody came out until the two announced his cancellation. I don't believe Jerry Lee was even in the state of Wisconsin that day. But hey, I don't let me spoil your fun! I was bummed, because I wanted to see the Killer just once, and it was such a disappointment........

Jerry Lee? ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Yeah, get back to your '77 soundboards, Mr. Eagle.

 My, aren't we defensive of the poor old Killer?

Tue Oct 11, 2005 12:30 am

Yes, because of prats like you. He may be 70 but what's with the 'poor' bit?

Tue Oct 11, 2005 12:49 am

I imagine he's a lot poorer with the recent divorce from 6th wife, 42 year old Kerry Lynn McCarver Lewis.

So far, she's fared much better than Jaren Pate, the Killer's fourth wife, who "accidentally" drowned in a swimming pool... or the Killer's fifth wife, Shaw Kleinhans, who died of a drug overdose three months after their wedding day. I'll digress here.

I can give Jerry Lee his due as a Sun artist and early R&R pioneer, but his behavior as a human being leaves a lot to be desired.

And with that, I will now go back to my '77 soundboards.

I'm a police officer by profession, so if you have any evidence about Mr. Lewis' involvement in the demise of his previous wifes, then let's hear it.

In the meantime, it's written in the Bible that anyone who doesn't fully appreciate the genius that is Jerry Lee Lewis, is a monkey's ass. So best stock up on those bananas, buddy boy!

 Jerry Lee yesterday

I must have missed that passage about Jerry's genius. Is that in Revelations?

As for his talent, I wrote:

As a police officer, I assume you are adept at finding clues. Therefore, I trust you will understand those comments the second time around.

BTW... while you were reading this, I peeled you a banana.
