Garfield was not assassinated by the guy who shot him

I just learned on Jeopardy that one of the presidents we always forget about being killed in office, James Garfield, was actually a pretender in the assassination club. He really died because the docs dug around his body for the bullet, when he actually would have survived with it inside.

So, really you should get back the five points you missed on that quiz in 7th grade.

(I don't want to hear any namby pamby's try to say that if not for being shot he wouldn't have died. That's beside the point.)
