Wed Jul 27, 2005 11:03 pm

Sorry guys! Carry on! :D :D

Thu Jul 28, 2005 1:14 am

I went with GG against DJC, now that was a feud! Thanks for the laughs, guys! Seriously where is Tom In North Carolina vs. Simplekins (I loved that!)

How could Tom/Maurice possibly be omitted from this poll?

Not only this one, but his classic bouts with Simplekins and his variety of characters definitely needes to be on the list.

Fortunately I'm not on the list since I'm such a "peace loving man"

I didn't vote!!!

I love it all!!!

Peace man!!!

Sh*t! You're right! I can't edit it either. I think I left it because it's been quiet for a while! That's were my vote would go. The three above are going great guns!!:D

Additional option:

Tom in North Carolina vs Maurice/Curtis/Elvisgirl

:D

Anything with the Doc takes it to another level. Love him or hate him, the Doc adds spice as well as knowledge to our forum.

At least you're not singing it in competitions!

These little feuds are good knock-about fun & make great reading.

But remember, the AEK Newsgroup started with a few little comical 'feuds' between posters and has now become an all-out war which is quite nasty with accusations of paedophilia and bestiality being lobbied around.

It's hardly worth visiting now.

Wouldn't want this MB to sink that low !

Thank you, Joe. You are clearly a very intelligent member of this MB.

I agree 100% Colinb, I lurk there for lack of anything better to do while downing a few brewskies and can't believe that the board even has the stamina to stay current.
What makes this board so much different than that one is the Ring Master at AEK. He is the one that keeps the pot stirred and it seems they can't get enough of him. It is sad that he is such a bitter old man, when you think about it he has a lot to offer the online community but he prefers to think that he is so much better than everyone else and he carries himself in that fashion. I would not give him the pleasure of presenting a question to him or even attempting a civil conversation. It would just feed what is already an inflated ego.

LOL

the definition of INTELLIGENCE is agreeing with Doc/complimenting Doc

what a crock o' sh*t.

Hey Doc -
despite the myth you created for yourself regarding the online world,
Elvis fans round the planet aren't seeking an ELVIS EXPERT

they/we seek likeable Elvis fans.
(and you ain't one of them)

besides, you can never measure up to the fans who saw Elvis live.
Your expertise does not extend to the eyewitness dept.

Anything you read about him, or heard by him, ANYONE can.

you're not as knowledgeable nor special as you want us to think you are.

Hey Stumpy, what's your point?

I never saw Elvis live..........I guess that makes me a lesser fan

No Jake. That doesn't mean that at all.
And you know it.

That's not a slur toward fans who never saw Elvis in person.
Some of the most sincere and likeable and humble Elvis fans
never did see him in concert.

But if you were to declare that you have EXPERTISE about Elvis,
like Doc does in some of his posts, then that's clearly pathetic
considering no live event attended.

Doc's "expertise" and "knowledge" about Elvis Presley is books and records and cds and vhs tapes, dvds, etc, and internet search engines
(materials that anyone! can have)

the nerve and audacity of some SOB to come here and routinely declare his "expertise" and want to be regarded as an "Elvis Scholar"

how pathetic and insecure.

have you noticed that if you pay Doc a compliment, sing his praises,
he'll call you a very intelligent member of the mb

vomit.

G.G. I find the Doc's posts very interesting as I do yours. I can't help how you two feel about each other.

thanks,
GG - Authoritative Elvis Data Archivist Master Expert Professor

----------------

the reason I brought attending-an-Elvis-concert into the debate:

there's nothing about Doc's Elvis-related life experience nor collection of Elvis stuff that justifies his arrogance and egotistical view of himself.
He's narcistically disgusting at times.

There are mb members here who saw Elvis live many times,
and who own rare items once owned/worn by Elvis himself,
but they don't assert themselves as "experts" and "scholars" of Elvis.

They have more sense - and intelligence - than to do that.

lol squirrel

y'know, I still haven't voted on this feud poll.

I hoped for a 4th option

Fri Jul 29, 2005 10:10 pm

Look at this total crap...because of my current feuds with Jerry it has overshadowed my hard work with the Doc.

Did you guys not remember the "Ken Norton's robe" feud several years back?? I could stretch those posts for 15+ pages. lol

Still to make the list is an honor, but Jerry is hardly my biggest nemesis. Me and Doc were there from the beginning for at least 5 years!

Though I give credit that Jerry, Doc, and I were the first three to be "certified" on the board. To this day a treasure I hold dear.

Fri Jul 29, 2005 10:49 pm

That's great, Genesim. You, GG, The Doc, all make this board as entertaining and fun as you provide a little bit of comic relief although sometimes things do get a tad out of hand. But I also am glad we have people like likethebike, Keith Flynn, Gregory Nolan, and Peter, whose posts are so "on" that you "read and learn" great stuff about our man and his music.

Thanks guys, TINML
P.S., I like Sam too 8)

That's two "anti" lists in a week - I still have not arrived, I made neither

There's a lot of us still on the coach it seems but we will get into town soon
