Been going down a rabbit hole recently about comedian Freddie Prinze. Man, he was such a talented and funny performer.

Just watched this Tubi program and can say it's . . . okay. If you know almost nothing about the astonishing rise and tragic end of this very talented and charismatic man, it provides some clarity.

But the repetition of clip sequences and occasional "recreations" using actors is cheap and dumb. Seek out 1978's The Freddie Prinze Story, a biography written in part by his mom, Maria Pruetzel, to get a much fuller picture of the young man who flew to the top of the entertainment world at the age of 20, and was gone less than three years later.

Also, he was NEVER known as "Freddie Prinze, Sr." The abbreviation is meant to differentiate him from his son, who was born in 1976 and later became an actor in his own right.
