Wow! now this is awesome news.

Two weeks on following Rod Stewart who copped some flak for singing "Sweet Caroline" (which was grossly unfair i thought), Neil himself has surprised everyone by stepping out of retirement to sing his famous song in a public arena.

ALL POWER TO NEIL !!!!

while i'm at it, here's Rod.

It should be borne in mind Rod's rendition of Neil's Sweet Caroline was in fact a request by Her Majesty the Queen.

About 40 years ago I had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Diamond in concert.
A great show from a great performer.

Saw him in concert at the adelaide entertainment centre in 1992 and 1995.
Have you look at his 1976 Australian Concert (assuming its still on youtube) , televised nationally and officially released some 12 years ago, where Neil finished the concert with the Jonathon Livingston Seagull soundtrack.
Awesome stuff.

and here's another write-up.

I have to say i had no idea about this musical based on Neil's songs did any of you, my friends ?

It's going to be interesting to learn on how it all goes later in the year and whether or not the play becomes a major success, if the theatrical musical will go International (as in australia, a longtime loyal country to Neil, for decades in fact) !!!

I'll say it again - ALL POWER TO NEIL DIAMOND :D

I hadn't seen of heard anything about it until I watched Neil singing
at the Boston game the other day. It was on the jumbo-tron up and
behind him.
