We have lost the finest, bravest heart among us. Our hearts ache for Joanne, who fought just as nobly as Ken. God bless them both.

I have not gone
You think I’ve gone, that I am dead, and life has lost its will,
But look around, I am right there, living with you still
I watch your tears, I feel your pain – I see the things you do
I weep as well, each time you cry, my soul, it lives with you
It gives such joy to hear you laugh, and do the things you do
And when you smile o’er by gone days, I smile right with you too
For we’re still one, just you and me, one mind, one soul, one being
Walking forward into life, though only you are seen
And in the stillness of the night, when the pain it really starts
Stretch out a little with your mind and draw me to your heart
For I am always right in there, always by your side
For you have been, all my life’s days, my joy, my love my pride.
Author unknown
I go back 7 years with Ken, that i can remember. Both here and on another Elvis forum that would later morphed to "Phoenix Elvis Forum".
We always shared nearly the same interests on music and film.
Think that under the circumstances we should not dwell and to keep this forum as active and as fun as ever, moving forward. It's what Ken would have wanted.
Thanks Bro. You'll always be remembered

Re: Bad news...I have cancer.updated thursday 18th November 2021
I found out last night on Instagram. I haven't been here, because I didn't want to know. I knew it was coming but I refused to believe it.
He's gone. I am devastated.
Nothing more to say but sleep in peace my friend Ken.

No words really.
I'm so glad Ken chose to share things with us.
The words I wanted to say I was able to say to Ken whilst he was still here with us.
It's still difficult to accept.

Our friend Ken has left us more than a year ago. All the mourning has been done. Though we all still miss him, isn't it time to unstick this thread and allow Ken to slip away into the sunset? For those of us who cared, he will remain in our heart and memory as we move forward on our own journey through life.
Elvis fan. From Sun to Sundial.

I've thought of Ken several times over the past year. I never knew him personally, but I liked the person I knew on here; as a fellow Elvis fan, as somebody with wider shared interests, but also somebody that came across as decent and true. Somebody I could probably have spent hours talking to in person about Elvis, Hammer films, Willie Nelson, movies, and music. Those shared interests.Mister Mike wrote: ↑Fri Feb 24, 2023 10:57 amOur friend Ken has left us more than a year ago. All the mourning has been done. He even sent me a Blu-ray in the post when he was near the end. Which was just so very kind of him when he had such a huge burden. And at a time when his days were short, he took some time for me. Thank you, Ken. This was and still is very much appreciated.
I was genuinely sorrowful at Ken's passing. He faced a terrible illnesses and the inevitable in the most courageous of ways. With heart and pride. Even a sense of humour at times. I can imagine how much of a loss his death must have been to those closest to him. And seeing photos of Ken over the years gave us the image of a man who just loved life. And loved an Elvis-inspired shirt! How many of us could wear one of those and still look pretty damm good?!
I've wondered what he might have thought of the "Elvis" movie and the On Tour box set. When I've watched films we've discussed, occasionally Ken sprung to mind over the past year. And when I came back to FECC just recently, one of the very first things I thought of, was Ken's absence. But also his presence. It was a pleasure knowing you, Ken. Rest easy my friend.

Considering he had the front cover picture tattooed on his side, it's probably safe to assume Ken would have loved the new On Tour box set....

Still deeply missed here but a way bigger miss for his beloved Joanne. I send her a short message during the holiday season since that's always a hard 'first'. And although she replied in the manner of Ken with hope and optimism, it was still clear he is missed in a huge way..... It gives me some comfort to see we are still 'talking' about him the way we do. I can only hope people will do the same about me, long after I'm gone....

I've kept my avatar because in a silly way for me I just thought it kept him here and that I would feel he was still a part of this site.
I had thought of removing it after a year but then I thought, why?
So I also hope this thread can stay as a sticky as its not really bothering anyone or getting in the way of anything else.
