I wonder how many times Elvis sang to a muse in the the studio?
Good question. I am quite sure she was the only woman in his life he ever directly sang to in the studio. When 'cilla was there on Sep. 22, 1970, he was in a strange mood, and there's no evidence that he did: he was just in a rush then.
As for another "muse," well he apparently sang "Don't Cry Daddy" to his Daddy. Directly. Although, unlike this, I do not believe there is audio evidence. But it seems clear from those present that he did.
In July, 73, Lisa was in the studio. According to Ernst, before he would yell at somebody, he'd tell her to turn around. (Ears don't work that way, but . . . he tried.) I don't know that he sang to Lisa in the studio.
It would seem that Sheila is the only woman, and the only other one would be his Daddy.
Oh, Gosh! I lost my head. Thank you so much, George, and Ken!!!
