Here you can also post any related video's of Elvis too, except impersonator video's where they imitate Elvis' voice of material he recorded.

ARTHUR CRUDUP ORIGINAL VERSION OF THAT'S All RIGHT MAMA!!!!!

Tue Mar 11, 2008 11:15 pm

Well, I had never heard this before...so now I`m wondering if Elvis really did sing "That`s alright" in his own style...or did he actually borrow it from this recording......??
I read the words that the poster of the video wrote about the song.....well, is that so :?

Well, it's common knowledge that it was from this recording that Elvis knew the song.

But he brings his own feel to it.....................

Crudup's version has none of the gentle swing and ease of Elvis' version. If you listen to all Elvis' Crudup tracks there is no comparison in the vocals. This is why the Elvis record created a sensation when it was released. It was a sound no one had heard before. A lot of people especially in Elvis' region knew the Crudup record but this was something new to them.
