Here you can also post any related video's of Elvis too, except impersonator video's where they imitate Elvis' voice of material he recorded.

A Jewel in the Presley Crown (See Elvis singing I'm Leaving)

Fri Oct 05, 2007 12:48 am

No great surprises in the Elvis world but I do feel the song 'I'm Leaving' deserves wider acclaim as one of Elvis' most beautiful performances, the lyrics are poignant, the harmonies are faultless, the atmosphere created is haunting and the overall playing and production is wonderful. Its such a shame this song was never captured in full during the 'On Tour' sessions, just imagine how wonderful a performance during Hampton Roads or Greensboro would of been!

Yes indeed -- and Elvis loved it from Thursday, May 20, 1971, all the way through to Tuesday, August 16, 1977.

Shaky, always been one of my favourites ever since I first heard it. I've so enjoyed lately hearing it on ISAK and Elvis's comment at the end of the take.
I gotta say you have done a freakingly good job on that video. I honestly think if, as I always hope, it's released as a single this would be the video to go with it - superb!

And I agree,Shaky, you've made an excellent video for a great song !

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Shaky :-)
'I'm Leavin' is a great piece of work - and your accompanying video is absoloutely fantastic.
Also, I'd forgotten how good a song 'Sweet Angeline' is - should be released as a single!

<<I'd forgotten how good a song 'Sweet Angeline' is - should be released as a single!>>

I was always surprised to see it omitted from the 70 masters box set, it deserved its place their! If you remember the 'I Can Help' L.P. in the U.K. it fitted in perfectly with the more usual 70's classics!

Seeing Elvis sing the song is certainly very cool !

It makes all the difference in the world having this type of footage, the last video here is awesome, well thought out as far as the editing goes.

I personally wouldn't have changed a thing.

Do any of you think this video could have been something EPE could have done or for the sake of agrument do you think this type of video would have worked on TV and would it have gotten any fan fair or publicity ?
