is this official?
With very few songs appealing to me in the first CDs, I'm not enthused about a Christmas album smothered in strings.

that cover image also looks to photoshopped, his hair to flat and his whole head cut and paste job from another image

This would most likely be another success (and rubbish) like the previous two.

Am I the only one who wouldn't mind that?

Where is that news from BigBopper?

If correct it looks like the 8 original 1957 Christmas songs make up the bulk of this album.

My only gripe is that there is no 'If Everyday Was Like Christmas' (unless it is a bonus song on a deluxe edition).

I await more info.

It's like all our Elvis Christmas' have come at once! Ding Dong Merrily on High!
Doesn't look very Christmassie though... Thought a few snowflakes or red suits wouldn't go amiss. Fake silvery beards or Christmas tree even. Oh well...

I'd heard it was originally going to be a mixture of Xmas and Sacred songs for this release. This release will probably be the best seller out of the three in the US market as they seem to love Xmas albums. I wonder if they'll do the usual deluxe vinyl/CD box thing this time. In some ways, I hope they don't - the last one was played twice and has been on the shelf ever since as I did not think it was as good as the first one and I probably only bought it for the collection. I'm looking forward to the Roy Orbison one and am very curious to hear the Aretha Franklin one.

Official or otherwise, I like the cover as it maintains the presentation style.

Looking at the selections, however, I am dubious about this being the official CD - especially considering the lack of comment or further info from the opening poster.

Are you trying to tell me Elvis didn't actually have a photo taken with him looming over a miniature orchestra?

It also has the release date listed as 6 October.

How Amazon, France has this info before anyone else is puzzling.

Not really. Probably just down to the workflow and staffing of different territories.

They could have at least left Santa Claus is Back in Town alone. What does a great blues song need other than cellos and tubas.

They sure are milking that cow.

I am ready for them to take my money! (What little is left.) I still play vol. 1 all the time, but vol. 2 only twice. I use my mom's mini component system. (Yes, it's HER's! It will never be mine.)

I will ask Santa for a gift card.

The cover is great hope that stays. But I am hugely dissatisfied with this track listing.

They have a winning formula its not easy to mess up but that track listing is pathetic.

Have they found a way to fail because if they had got the tracks corrrect it would have surely been num er one. Why so many from the 50's Christmas album.

Crazy stupid omissions are:-

If I get home on Christmas Day
Where no one stands alone - could have been number one single this xmas.
And so much more mentioned here before , i wont bother saying all of them.
I guess their is a separate Spiritual release to come.

Number one or nothing but this might be top ten only because of the selection of tracks.

Hope I am wrong.
