I suppose, in that case, it would depend totally on the circumstances. If I was convinced that the material wasn't being used to push something more worthy out of the way, then I guess nobody could argue with that. But a second volume? No thanks, not for me. Obviously, I'd buy it. But I wouldn't be happy about it.

Impressive mastering of "Lovin' Arms" from scarce 1989 Australian CD [which uniquely lists "What'd I Say" as part of track 1].
The correct 2-bar intro is intact here.

Some of the more unusual worldwide single artwork.
Note that Mexico combined arguably the best of both original single sides.
Sticker version from U.S. LP.
Note that at one point "Just Call Me Lonesome" must have been considered for single release.

I was just wondering, was Larrie Londin the drummer on all of the songs on this album?

Re: The 1980 Young 'un Sound remakes
For me, Larrie Londin is the standout musician on these sessions... literally the glue holding everything together.
Plus, there's a really good effective use of panning [rarely done on Elvis' original mixes] of his drum "tracks" during the mixing stage.
And in what may have been an affectionate homage to the man they were posthumously backing, the guitar-slaps [probably Londin again] are well to the fore in a very hot mix of the alternate "She Thinks I Still Care".
Kudos to Felton, here.

Re: The 1980 Young 'un Sound remakes
According to Keith Flynn's site Jerry Carrigan replaced Larrie London on drums for the final two days of full band sessions for the "Guitar Man" album.
October 16, 1980
1. "If You Talk in Your Sleep"
2. "Guitar Man" [apparently an earlier re-recording of "Guitar Man" was tracked in January & February 1980 but rejected)
3. "Kentucky Rain"
http://www.keithflynn.com/recording-sessions/801016.html
October 17, 1980
4. "After Loving You"
5. "Clean Up Your Own Backyard"
6. "Long Black Limousine"
Note: "After Loving You," "Clean Up Your Own Backyard," and obviously "Guitar Man" all made the final album tracklisting......so Carrigan drums on 3 of the 10 songs....Larrie London handled the other seven.

Re: The 1980 Young 'un Sound remakes
An addendum:
Chip Young moved his Young 'un Sound studio [originally a two-room log outhouse set on the farm he purchased in 1968 in Murfreesboro, TN] to Nashville's Music Row, when purchasing the former Monument Recording Studios [itself, a former church built in 1903] in 1975.
He continued to use his home built Murfreesboro studio [see photos on page 1] for a while longer [indeed some overdubs from the '76 Graceland sessions were recorded there], but for the actual 1980 Guitar Man remakes, his Nashville studio was used.
Today, it is known as Southern Ground Nashville.

Re: The 1980 Young 'un Sound remakes
Arguably, thee most famous recording made at Young 'un Sound [at Chip's original 16-track Murfreesboro studio] was Billy Swan's classic "I Can Help" in 1974.
It was Young that added the memorable, descending guitar runs, which became such an integral part of the track, you couldn't mistake them for any other song.
A year later he recreated the solos when overdubbing onto Elvis' stellar cover.

I actually heard many of those tracks for the first time on the 1981 Guitar Man LP. I enjoy a few of them more than the original arrangements... You Asked Me To, Lovin' Arms and Guitar Man.

Trivia time:
Perhaps less well-known, the follow-up single to the smash 1981 "Guitar Man" [b/w "Faded Love"] Billboard Country number 1, "Lovin' Arms" / "You Asked Me To", shifted enough copies to reach a more than respectable number 8 on the same chart.

Re: The 1980 Young 'un Sound remakes
My favorite songs from the original album are: Clean Up Your Own Back Yard, Fadded Love and Too Much Of Monkey Business ! I always love this LP.
According Keith Flynn there are some others unreleased tracks from those sessions. Maybe considered unfinished?:
And I Love You So (re-recording)
(That's What You Get) For Loving Me (re-recording)
Funny How Time Slips Away (re-recording)
Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain (re-recording)
Bitter They Are, Harder They Fall (re-recording) (*)
Shake A Hand (re-recording)
Susan When She Tried (re-recording)
Help Me (re-recording)
For Ol' Times Sake (overdub) (*)
The Fool (re-recording)
Susan When She Tried (re-recording)
You Don't Know Me (re-recording)
I Really Don't Want To Know (re-recording)
Help Me Make It Through The Night (re-recording)
(*) available from Venus release.
