First time I have heard this on vinyl, it needs a clean as it is a little noisy. It will be intersting to compare it after the cleaning process.

I've got the first three Essential Elvis' on vinyl; not played them in a long time but in the day they were given a lot of spins!
Volume 2 on vinyl was a recent purchase to complete all 3 volumes on LP.
I had 6 volumes on CD for a while, it is a shame volumes 4-6 were not released on vinyl, or am I mistaken?
I believe that's right, I don't recall seeing volumes 4 - 6 on anything but CD...

I’d love the Such a Night one on vinyl as it’s one of my favourite Elvis sleeves, and I loved the release at the time. Got it close to Tomorrow is a Long Time and played them both to death for weeks when I was a “fresh” fan :)

Would love one of those. I have an old UK vinyl copy but it sounds pretty crappy.

The only criticism, well other than price I have of Friday music releases is the cardboard covers that seem softer than any other LP jackets I have in my collection. Ringwear seems inevitable so if you don't already I would recommend storing the record outside the cover inside the outer poly sleeve. I've been using "Blake" sleeves recently and they are fantastic.Clear as day and you seal them so dust has no way in.

Just received my copy of this release sound good to my ears and it is very cool to look at. I agree about the cardboard covers.

Together with its companion 'The Other Sides' I still think these box sets take some beating for sound quality (yup, glorious mono!), track listing and sequencing. The CD versions of either volume, are in my humble opinion, both poor in comparison and execution...

Finally got my copy of The King In The Ring.Sound is very good given its limitations. Got to say the red vinyl looks great against the gloss black of the turntable and I love the cover nice to see Scotty and DJ prominent in the picture.
Great stuff.

I listen often to one or more of The Searcher soundtrack discs. Also, the FTD with the Aug. 3rd, 1969 dinner show. Very different from future shows even if he was less forthcoming.

Oh, and I frequently listen to "His Hand In Mine" because it is both brilliant and comforting. The albums listed are in heavy rotation. I can't recall which particular one because I listen while reading at night. Could be any one of those.

I often use a portable digital music player, connected to a compact JVC stereo system. Great system from the earlier 00s.

Thought i'd update this thread with..
This Is Elvis :D :D (Sorry Rob) i been looking for a while for a copy in great condition and i just happened to have stumbled upon one a few days ago.. factory sealed still! including the hype sticker (which i don't show here as it's inside the sleeve, it's so old it doesn't glue to anything anymore), i love the presentation of it and the sound is pretty good. Also love the picture sleeves the records came in.

My turntable has been wedged inside the narrowest slot of my hi-fi stand for several years. That was until the beginning of December when I had a visit from two "Elvis" friends. Surprisingly, I found the stylus was still OK.....and the LP I put on was His Hand In Mine. Such an amazing vocal on each track, controlled and heartfelt.

I need to re-listen to His Hand in Mind Again. I have not listed to that one in ages.
