Re: Last Elvis Album (LP) You Listened To Was?
I always did prefer that cover to the original.Johnny2523 on Thu Feb 15, 2018 1:57 pm wrote:I played this the other day.. a 1970 pressing from a country that doesnt officially exist anymore. Yugoslavia
There was something I never liked about EP’s expression in the photo on the original cover.
Is your copy in mono or the messed up EPRS?
You can’t beat 1968 Elvis in black leather for album covers.

Re: Last Elvis Album (LP) You Listened To Was?
I fired this up on a whim yesterday and enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
His soundtrack work, particularly in the middles 60s wasn't my favorite stuff, but there's a number of fun tracks on this one.

It's 800 miles from my house to Graceland, but I'm always up for making the trip!

I love the soundtracks, while they are not what Elvis should have been doing, I accept and enjoy them very much.joekro1977 on Thu Feb 15, 2018 2:34 pm wrote:I fired this up on a whim yesterday and enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

Re: Last Elvis Album (LP) You Listened To Was?
Listened to this Camden LP while transferring to FLAC files, and what a very fine album this is! Elvis Gospel tunes in mono sound.
I wonder, i have this pressing with turquoise labels, but does anyone also have the stamp on the record saying ''Sleeve Printed In England, Record Pressed In USA''

I know Elvis Shop London has stock of this one (as of today 18th February 2018), might be expensive though.Johnny2523 on Sun Feb 18, 2018 1:06 am wrote:Looks like a fantastic FTD release. Re: Last Elvis Album (LP) You Listened To Was?
Sadly, the Elvis Shop London is a no go for me in ordering stuff, i dislike the fact that i can't see the shipping costs, which are pretty high to the netherlands.Scoobie on Sun Feb 18, 2018 5:29 pm wrote:I know Elvis Shop London has stock of this one (as of today 18th February 2018), might be expensive though.Johnny2523 on Sun Feb 18, 2018 1:06 am wrote:Looks like a fantastic FTD release. Friday Music production of “King Creole”
Sounds just great! A little sibilant in places, but overall very good.

Firday Music production of “Elvis Presley”.
This one is a little dirty, needs a clean, but other than that it sounds great!
I have not had time to run the latest purchases through my cleaning system yet.

Re: Last Elvis Album (LP) You Listened To Was?
I only bought this in 2014 or whenever it was, because it was cheap and I don’t have much Presley vinyl, but I really like the sound quality and track sequence/selection (apart from Something, which personally I could do without, but it’s OK).

Essential Elvis Volume 2.
First time I have heard this on vinyl, it needs a clean as it is a little noisy. It will be intersting to compare it after the cleaning process.

Volume 2 on vinyl was a recent purchase to complete all 3 volumes on LP.When In Rome on Tue Feb 27, 2018 6:25 pm wrote:I've got the first three Essential Elvis' on vinyl; not played them in a long time but in the day they were given a lot of spins!Scoobie wrote:Essential Elvis Volume 2.

I had 6 volumes on CD for a while, it is a shame volumes 4-6 were not released on vinyl, or am I mistaken?
