NOT A BAD LP, COLONEL!!!
Ha Ha … Good one Paul !!!
I don't care what Ed Van Halen says about me--all's I know is that Howard Stern and Mr. Rogers like me just the way I friendly am! - David Lee Roth
A 1964 UK mono Fun In Acapulco, ORG Golden Records Volume 3 (stunning, but with a scratch on side 1, damm it), an RCA International release of Almost In Love and 1985's Reconsider Baby.
Currently a UK 1977 Girls! Girls! Girls! Before that, we had a 1962 mono Pot Luck (lovely sounding), and a noisy Fun In Acapulco (also 1977 and which is being replaced).
Played Golden Records 5 and 4 (UK '68, mono) yesterday and Showroom Internationale on Friday eve.
A 1980s RCA INTERNATIONAL It Happened At The World's Fair, followed by a scratched up red spot mono of the album which, bizarrely, played perfectly. Or was that the beer?
Now Almost In Love, another RCA INTERNATIONAL press.
My replacement Fun In Acapulco LP arrived early this afternoon (great service from The Elvis Shop). Lovely, lovely copy. Very quiet. Postage cost more than the album. A bargain!
Also enjoyed a US 1976 His Hand In Mine and a 1969 UK stereo pressing of From Elvis In Memphis this evening.
My beautiful near mint copy of From Elvis In memphis (rigid orange with bonus photo). Every time the needle drops on the record I feel the joy of hearing this record for the very first time...

A recent (and expensive.....don't tell the wife) purchase of the From Elvis In Memphis FTD. Cover is something of a mash up but the record is sounding fine. Don't mind too much, might be the afternoon drinking in London.
