I´m trying to figure out which open-air stadium had the most crowded for any Elvis concert during the 50´s . This is was I found for 1957.....

The biggest crowd he played to that year was in Vancouver, B.C., (16,500)

Talking about any kind of Elvis concerts (in-door or out-door) in the 50´s. In an Elvis interview held in August 31, 1957 - Vancouver, Canada. He stated that 30,000 fans (listen it at 7:50) was his biggest crowded concert in the 50´s at the Cotton Bowl, Dallas .

Although the provided link here below, states that most crowded (26,500 fans) Elvis concert in the 50´s was at the Cotton Bowl, Dallas (October 11, 1956).

Yes. I believe it was. Back in those days besides Elvis and I think Ricky Nelson all the other rock n' roll singers and R&B singers toured in multi act packaged shows. When they would play concerts by themselves it would be in smaller venues. Ricky Nelson didn't even make his first hit record until 1957. The Cotton bowl was the biggest crowd Elvis played to in the fifties.
