Post by Scoobie »

Hello,

My wife and I are off to Vegas in a couple of weeks, is there anything Elvis related to see there anymore?

Elvis statue at the Westgate (sadly exhibition is closed)
Elvis star outside Paris hotel on Las Vegas Strip
Hard Rock Hotel Casino sometimes has Elvis memorabilia on display and Hard Rock Cafe always have Elvis items.
2 Elvis waxworks in Madame Tussauds inside the Venetian Hotel.
Harley Davidson Cafe has one of Elvis motorcycles hanging up
The pool area at the Flamingo where they filmed Viva Las Vegas
Little Chapel Of The West (not far from the Welcome to Las Vegas sign)used in the closing scene of Viva Las Vegas.
If I remember anything else I'll add it on.

A lot of the Elvis related things in Las Vegas have sadly dwindled over the years.

Do they let you just walk up to the stage? I was there but assumed they wouldn't let you.

Back in 2010 when I visited the Hilton hotel, I was lucky enough to find out that the main door wasn´t locked, so I went in and had a look from the balcony 8). I didn´t go down because there were some workers on the stage!. Bye for now :smt006.

Sorry to ask but I am confused, the Hilton Hotel changed his name in The Westgate? I wonder why and when.

I was there last summer and watched the exhibit. Afterwards I asked one of the employees in the casino (some kind of manager/security) if he would let me visit the locked showroom. He did and I went in there and took some pics.
