"Elvis Corner" vs. "The Elvis Shop London"??
Ladies & Gents,
Through a financial miracle earlier today (we finally sold a small piece of land that we had been trying to sell for over a year), I'm unexpectedly going to be able to order/pre-order the two volumes of "The Elvis Files" books that I'm missing (1974-1975) & (1976-1977). But, I'm needing advice on which site is better as far as price and shipping? What I'm looking for is two things:
1. Quick shipment
2. Best price
I would buy the books directly from Erik Lorentzen but - they're a bit out of my range especially since we didn't get the amount of money that we wanted from the piece of land that was sold.
So.....any advice is welcome as to which online shop is better: "Elvis Corner" or "The Elvis Shop London"
Thanks, ya'll.
(BTW, that was another reason I was so ill and cranky with some people here - actually that was the main reason. I'm truly sorry I was ill towards anyone (including DJC).

No idea about the best price Tony, but as far as service and quick shipment is concerned I'd go for The Elvis Shop London. Elvis Corner is slow with sending and is almost impossible to reach by email or telephone.

I can only speak about London, every package I order I do on a Thursday afternoon and it always turns up Saturday morning when I'm at home.

Yes. The Elvis Shop for service is second to none, but like you say, price wise I wouldn't know. I live in the UK so i pay whatever the costs are for shipping - i know abroad it varies.StefanKock1 wrote:No idea about the best price Tony, but as far as service and quick shipment is concerned I'd go for The Elvis Shop London. If you buy elsewhere and they are cheaper but slower in service, you just have to be patient, but if you what quicker service The Elvis Shop London is the place...

You could always email Essential Elvis and ask for a quote on postage to the USA. The books themselves are a full £10 cheaper.

Main thing about the Elvis Shop London is if he advertises them then he has them in stock none of this SORRY OUT OF STOCK WAITING FOR
REPLACEMENT OR WILL GIVE YOU CREDIT NOTE,.
He say's he's got them then he has them plus you will never beat his packing/delivery

Re: "Elvis Corner" vs. "The Elvis Shop London"??
If you're short of cash, saving £20 ought to be worth a slight delay. Besides, I don't think Essential Elvis will be out of stock of Volume 7, it's too recent, and Volume 8 isn't out yet.BOBNOODLES wrote:Main thing about the Elvis Shop London is if he advertises them then he has them in stock none of this SORRY OUT OF STOCK WAITING FOR

Re: "Elvis Corner" vs. "The Elvis Shop London"??
I've got just enough to order/pre-order both books, thankfully. I've decided to go with The Elvis Shop London for my order.
Thanks, fellas!! I'm really, really excited about getting these books - although, I know some fans aren't too fond of the final year - because I've wanted them ever since they first came out but - I had to pay for some other stuff before I could get them.
I've got one other question:
When ordering from "The Elvis Shop London", since I'm a U.S. resident, how long will it take for something to arrive after I place an order from them?

Re: "Elvis Corner" vs. "The Elvis Shop London"??
Are there any import duties payable on books coming from the UK into the US?
Re: "Elvis Corner" vs. "The Elvis Shop London"??
I think it took my package a week or less to arrive.

I don't know about the Elvis Corner as I have never used them. However, I have been using the Elvis Shop in London for years and have never had any issues. Their pricing and speed of dispatch is great. I must have spent a small fortune with them!
You're gonna need a bigger boat

Elvis Shop is one of the very best places I've ever dealt with on any level. I've actually been on the phone with them when it was the middle of the night here in the U.S. Very fast delivery and high quality products.

Elvis Corner is the place to be ( for me ) They do have the usuals items like FTD but boy....the memorabilia they are selling ( all original stuff ) is amazing ! Probably the largest collection ( for sale ) worldwide. Original autographs, tourbooks, records, etc etc. You name it, they have it. Bought a lot of genuine items from them, and always well packed and fast delivery

You should look at the original memorabilia on Chris Giles' (The Elvis Shop London) website: LPs, 45s, EPs, 78s, 1956 EPE original merchandise, original Vegas menus, lobby cards, movie poster, bubble gum cards, magazines etc etc. There's no site like it.MORERO wrote:Elvis Corner is the place to be ( for me ) They do have the usuals items like FTD but boy....the memorabilia they are selling ( all original stuff ) is amazing ! Re: "Elvis Corner" vs. "The Elvis Shop London"??
I agree You cannot beat the Elvis Shop London he has everything from EVERY country how many stores do you know with over 50 ORIGINAL SUN
45's /78's his site speaks for itself they may be other sites/stores but all you have to do is look at his inventory.
If they are advertised he has them in stock. your talking of FTD's titles in abundance not just one or two of each but 50 or so of each title cd/Vinyl
he may be a little expensive BUT he has the best stock of original memorabilia you'll ever see.
