Yes, I am disappointed about this too. I thought they were on a roll. The "Houston '76" show was a sensational release. But it seems their well wasn't that deep after all... Too bad.

It may be that Audionics has nothing left since they have now been piggybacking the TNT reissues. Just a thought but I hope I'm wrong.

Yes, Houston '76 was a real milestone, certainly greater in every respect from what Madison gave fans.Keith Richards, Jr. wrote:Yes, I am disappointed about this too. I thought they were on a roll. We know Keith Richards Jr is not saying that.drjohncarpenter wrote:carloselvis wrote:Hi! I Was wondering about Audionics label this year, no new cds... Can we expected this like a one year vacations or a ferwell? I really love the label its like the good old Madison label.

The quote button abuse continues...
The Houston release was absolutely sensational, one of the most discussed concerts and at the time unreleased in any form.
Actual show quality is a different story and it was a confirmation this was actually a career lowpoint.

Re: No audionics release in 2014
Yes, Audionics was one of the better labels out there. I really liked their February 1973 soundbooth/soundboard releases Aloha Jerry and Echoes of Aloha, two of my favourite bootlegs of the last two years.
"A song from my recent TV show, which was pretty bad, but you know... you can't win 'em all!" - Elvis Presley (August 25 1969 DS)
"My favourite guitar player on lead guitar, say hello to James Burton. Young man on rhythm guitar; he's fair to mediocre, John Wilkinson." (February 19 1970 MS)
"My mouth feels like Bob Dylan slept in it." (February 21 1971 MS)
"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, my name is B.B. King" (August 16 1971 MS)
"Ed Sullivan looked at me and said "mmm, son of a b**ch." Nah, he's a nice... old chap." (January 27 1973 DS)
"I'm allowed on stage for 55 minutes to 1 hour. That's what they say. I say about 35 minutes!" (March 22 1975 MS)

Re: No audionics release in 2014
Here's a reminder of what Audionics said in their press release to "Things Get Loose In Tuscaloosa". No wonder I and the other soundboard guys on FECC got our hopes up. But here we are now, almost two years later, shattered and bruised, slowly starting to accept the fact that maybe there won't be any more releases from Audionics after all.
"Audionics is planning a special release before the end of this year, with more previously unissued material. While the other import guys appear to be in hybernation, we are only just warming up! You can always count on Audionics to deliver the goods. "

Chill out… Audionics is alive and well. And what’s in a name anyway?
Following Houston, they did release a couple of interesting CDs from the same source, including Shreveport ’75.

Re: No audionics release in 2014
Thanks. I kind of hoped that my dramatic post above would trigger some response from people who know what's going on!
What's in a name? Well, Audionics have a good designer working for them and they have been around for a long time. They rarely mess up. To me they are the most professional label around these days, and that's why I hope to see more stuff from them.

Re: No audionics release in 2014
Another thing I like about this label is that they release regular CDs instead of unnecessary book + CD projects although that could change I guess.

It's supposed to be educational. People read less than they used to. And that's not a good thing.Mike Windgren wrote:Hi there!! .

I have heard that their next release will be out in a month, and that there will be an announcement tomorrow.Keith Richards, Jr. wrote:Another thing I like about this label is that they release regular CDs instead of unnecessary book + CD projects although that could change I guess.

As long as it's not another 'upgrade' but a previously unreleased show, we should be fine.Rock Legend wrote:I have heard that their next release will be out in a month, and that there will be an announcement tomorrow.Keith Richards, Jr. wrote:Another thing I like about this label is that they release regular CDs instead of unnecessary book + CD projects although that could change I guess.

Maybe Rock Legend meant Venus, not Audionics (see the import news section on the website)?Robert wrote:Which was yesterday;)Rock Legend wrote:I have heard that their next release will be out in a month, and that there will be an announcement tomorrow.

No worries. The info will come, apparently it was held back due to the Venus release.
