eBay sellers

This auction goes along with how the eBay sellers tickle me that pay seller fees trying to sell FTDs used for more money than buying the same thing brand new from shop Elvis. Check this one (good luck to this joker, ha):

Yes, in their mind, it increases in value because they handled it

Ebay is actively encouraging people to start their auctions at a higher price these days. Whereas ebay used to be the place to go for bargains, now the go-to place is amazon marketplace, which is often considerably lower in price. As for FTDs, the general public don't even know that they even exist, let alone what Shop Elvis is. So, of course, if FTDs are being sold on ebay, they are going to often sell for a higher price. Blame FTDs/Sony's ridiculous (lack of) marketing for that.

It's called Ā«testing the marketĀ». There are people out there willing to pay any price in order to get what they want. So why not give it a try?

Maybe my computer has gone mad but link 1 is The Final Curtain and the second link is a bootleg neither is an FTD. What is going on?

"how the eBay sellers tickle me that pay seller fees trying to sell FTDs used for more money than buying the same thing brand new"

I don't understand this sentence.

Some make confusion between bootlegs records and FTD records.

I have a friend that believed that FTD records were bootlegs. I have explained to him that a FTD record is a commercial record reserved to collectors but they are official.

So if it doesn't sell for 4000, relist and pay more fees. What a moron!

Interesting view into the mind workings of an eBay seller. I wrote this guy selling a Minnesota Moment FTD for $40 that his item must be new and sealed to be selling at that price. He wrote back that he doesn't think I will find an FTD for better than his price. I wrote its on shopelvis.com for the same money brand new. smh

I think the important question here is... what's a "peep"??

Relisting is free for up to 3 times for most sellers.

You know what really bugs me, is when I'm looking for FTD stuff on eBay, I have to wade through an alarming amount of detritus because sellers stick '(not FTD)' in their listing so it shows up when people are looking for FTD stuff. I know photo's of Elvis are not FTD! I know Camden budget vinyl albums are not FTD! I know paintings of Elvis are not FTD! Grr! :smt068

Okay, sorry, rant over...
