Does anyone know if we get the DVD's in PAL. And more important, the Bluray release. On Tour was released in NTSC format in Europe. So I wonder if the DVD with the original film will also be in NTSC and region free.

NTSC/PAL does not apply to Blu-ray. They are all the same worldwide HD video format. What does matter is the region code, although many releases are multi-region.

I am hoping someone here will be able to confirm that the TTWII Blu-ray is multi-region.

Brilliant! Is it possible to show from the book a picture we've not seen yet?

Would appreciate.

Might not have to get this. Did Sony butcher / edit out a lot of Elvis cool dialog/comments?

The microphone problems/Testing of the new microphones is cut out on the august 12 DS
the ''Sing It Charlie'' comment elvis makes during don't cry daddy seems to have dissapeared
The audience walk on the August 12 MS is not included.. However polk salad annie is now the complete performance with ''What ya looking at back there'' comment included!.
Everything has more ''Punch'' Now.. patch it up blows out of your speakers! Fantastic sound. The rehearsals seem to be a compilation of the older boxes, like Platinum/The essential 70's masters/TTWII Special Edition (2000) with hardly any audio improvement.

having all the CDs you mentioned, I don't see a value with this set.

Bizarre that Sony finds "Froggy Went-A-Courtin'" acceptable for a mainstream release on this boxed set (and a re-release at that), but not the fun bit with the microphones. Granted, it loses something without the visual, but come on.

Has anyone else been watching the best seller ranking on Amazon US? It was in the high 1000s a few weeks ago, today it's at #232!

To be honest it just looks weird to, knowing the part can be found on the DVD included but not on the so called ''Complete Show'' CD Version!

Good point! I hadn't even thought of that, the contradiction they are creating.

The collectors will definatly know which show that is from
plus the whole joke is out of place as now we get

''I did my first movie... What your laughing at?, im bringing in the supremes tomorrow night''
Now.. How does that joke work if you don't know that elvis is actually standing there with 4 mic's that he just tested in a humorous way?

I had the thought to do this as well, but I don't think I have the willpower. Especially when it comes to the CDs. Good luck with it, though!

Not sure if I will be getting the small set or this big set. Need to see what Pop Market does. Getting the Blu-ray and going to the theater. I won't watch the Blu-ray until after I have been to the theater but I will allow myself to watch the extras including the original movie before going to the theater. Wonder still if the original movie has been improved picture wise or sound wise. We will know soon.

I should add that I'm also waiting for FTD Blu-Ray, already ordered. That I can watch as soon as it gets here.

right into ''ah i have a new record''
without any silence inbetween
like a huge hiccup
Perhaps there's an issue with the stream.

We should wait for the actual CD to make informed judgements regarding edits etc.
stream? It's a soundcloud file, i played it back many times, and it's the same everytime
the only thing it could be is if they made these mistakes on the original file they uploaded.. it did came from the official elvis page you know.
Is this glitch present on the CD from the box set?

I am not getting this set, but I will buy the Legacy 2-CD set. But I really would like to hear the Aug 11 DS version of I Just Can't Help Believin' that was on the original LP but WITHOUT the overdubbed applause. I assume it is unaltered on the Aug 11 DS CD on this set.

Really not sure whether to buy this or not. The DVDs are pointless to me and of the four concerts we already have I am quite happy with the audio quality of two of them. So I would be buying it for 2 new concerts and two where I hope they improve the audio quality. However, I don't feel the latest of Sony's legacy releases using Santos (aloha, Memphis) are as good as the best of FTD efforts e.g. the wonder of you. So I can see me buying the two disk set and checking out the mix on the new concert and deciding from there. Of course that means even less value for money should I eventually buy the box set, bummer! I will also buy the bluray when it arrives in the UK.

Cheers
