Sony Legacy is known for taking classic records (and this is certainly
one of them) and re-issuing them with additional rare tracks.

One of my favorites are the albums of Johnny Cash and Janis Joplin
And I think if anyone deserves a place in the legacy list. Then its Elvis Presley

My local Walmart always has the standard 5" Cd's in the store. The only mainstream Legacy release they didn't have was the 7" "Prince From Another Planet".

First impression: finally it sounds the way it should be. Okay, the darn tambourine...

And the Sweets are a little too upfront for my taste as you can hear them yelling all the time but these are really very, very minor flaws. FINALLY!

Right, SebastianE? :D

Edit: listen closely at the 0:12/0:13 mark on "Steamroller Blues" - is there a edit done or something? Sounds weird and disturbing. Sorry to complain once again. Tony.. - up to you! :P

Thanks for sharing!
It sounds really nice with James guitar more upfront and not buried in the mix.

I'm planning to get it this afternoon,at 12,95€ it's great value for money, as all the EP legacys are, excellent series, even for the collector.
Won't be able to hear it until tomorow though.
But i'm curious!!

I paid 9,95 Euros (free shipping) and am very satisfied. But that artificial (digital) echo on the Richmond CD is awful, but just like I stated before, it was just all about the first CD. And that one is very good.

If I had the 2004 FTD, I'd probably throw it away by now...
Just kidding, either I would give it away or just keep it on the shelf for the optics for completion.

Thanks for the sample. Sounds very nice, but I think (listened to this sample only) the orchestra should be a little bit more upfront.
Not because I like it much, but I think it was more audible in the real concert than it is here.

Why don't you just tell us that you are kindda lazy cause i've seen and hear this so many times over of
folks who claim something and when you ask to show some pictures or links it is always: "i am not very good
in..."BS. :x

Then don't mention it next time.

Ontopic:

Thanks for the links guys. At least some of us have the courtesy to do some searching instead of being lazy.

You are a true goofball and full of you know what.

I'd rather have you saying it then someone with brains cause you showed for a fact that you'd rather have others do the work
for you instead of you doing it yourself.

On topic.

For those living in Holland: The local Media Markt will also sell this according to a representative.

Thank you, sir.

Judging from this track, I think I will be very pleased with this release.

It sounds exactly the way it should be. It sounds very close to the original mix of the album, but without the overdubbed applause.

Can you post "Polk Salad Annie" from Memphis, Johnny2523? :smt002

thanks for the link, sounds promising, drums have a bit more weight and JB's guitar is more up front certainly on the solo with nice tone to it. Don't mind the sweets and didn't find them overbearing. When I played it through my Audiolab Dac it showed the WAV file as 24/96, can this be right? Did you upload it from CD or is this a HD rip? If so, where from?

cheers
