"The Richmond show is identical to the FTD release but it is the Memphis concert that is the highlight. Although it is a matter of personal taste, for me they have at last sorted out the earlier issues with no added reverb or applause, and it sounds so much better. The missing dialogue is also reinstated as is the false start on Help Me."
This release sure sounds promising now.

Finally the whole show as recorded.
It only took 40 years for them to get it right.

I don't know what that word means.
But....the legacy issue will no doubt beat it hands down.
I am looking forward to it.
Aren't you?
When I get it, I will do a review for you and A/B compare with the FTD, if you like.

Matthew wrote:Whether or not I'm looking forward to a new mix of this show has nothing to do with the notion that FTD did not "fail miserably" with their 2004 release.

I will investigate the Legacy Edition mix but I am quite happy with the FTD.

'Prince From Another Planet' also has the arena atmosphere in my opinion but I prefer without reverb, as the reverb has been added after the fact

When In Rome wrote:'Prince From Another Planet' also has the arena atmosphere in my opinion but I prefer without reverb, as the reverb has been added after the fact and was not really recorded that way, sure it may have sounded that way if you were sat in the middle of the auditorium/arena/coliseum/hall etc. I just think less is more on this occasion. However, I like that we have both ways to listen (PFAP vs. original 'Garden' and now FTD 'Live In Memphis' vs. the new Legacy version)
