When I think "Elvis Presley," the first song that comes to mind is "Welcome To My World."

Really? It isn't "What Now My Love?"

Does he also know you consider "Welcome To My World" a highlight from the "Aloha" TV broadcast?

Welcome to My World is indeed a highlight from Aloha. With a fresh and lilting arrangement that bears only a passing resemblence to the Nashville sound heard on the classic Jim Reeves original.

Elvis sings beautifully, with a smile in his voice, and a smile on his face. An understated vocal which is both honest and pure, lacking in affectation and clear as a bell. Listen again with fresh ears, and enjoy:

It fit the theme of the show, and he sang it nicely. And I like it. In fact, I love it.

Totally agree with you guys, a beautiful version, and Elvis seem's so happy singing it, and just delivers a heartwarming performance.

Man I'm sorry guys but Elvis' voice is weak, nasally, he doesn't care about the song, and the arrangement is very pedestrian. He had to read the words from the cue cards.

There are a number of excellent performances in Aloha along with some that are lacking. I believe this is one of the latter.

He actually nails that one, it's his tribute to Orbison, so it's a highlight.

Everyone here does. However, some are afraid to admit it in public.

But Rob knows better.

What was his reaction when he peeled off the plastic on Moody Blue in the summer of 1977 and first heard "Little Darlin'"?

Must you be so picky? It was Elvis. It was "Aloha." Millions loved it!

Re: Moody Blue and From Elvis at American Sound Studio!

As it seems it has already derailed, I prefer What Now My Love over Welcome To My World. Especially the version that appeared on: 3000 SOUTH PARADISE ROAD, August 12th 1972 DS.
As for Moody Blue and From Elvis At American Sound Studio, I lov'em!

That's borderline criminal. You should not have to wait no more than 2 weeks tops. Never order from EPE again.
