Am I Ready is almost the same melody as the Edward MacDowell's piano composition of "To A Wild Rose". (1860-1908) you can hear it on Telarc CD 80313: track 8.
Could I Fall In Love is almost the same melody of a Charles Trenet's song "Mes jeunes années".(1913-2001). You can hear it on EMI CD E@-83056 : track 12.

The other songs inspired by other traditions are well known like Can't Help Fallling In Love is adapted from the french song : "Plaisir d'amour" composed around 1784.

".. funny how time slips away..."
