Getting Down To Business Question

Sun Jun 16, 2013 1:09 am

Hi Guys, one question, I have found this CD that seems to be a Soundboard Redcording (look at the cover) also the date seems quite strange to me. Is this a Soundboard? Is the date declare at the cover right?

Thanks for the help!

The cover says 31st as well and it is an audience recording , I just listened to a track from it , It sounds pretty good even though it`s not soundboard.

It could well be, The sound is really good and a lot more atmospheric than a soundboard, When I said audience I just meant it wasn`t a soundboard.

Looks like a great song lineup from that show... and it's one I don't have and have never heard. I'm a big fan of the August '73 engagement... the show from August 26 MS being one of my favorites...

Great Show and really great sound, no soundboard but on e of the best ARs i guess.
but be careful because it first released only as cdr-version with same title but speed was not correct on it if i remember right.
look for a factory pressed copy.

August 31, 1973 DS. Soundbooth recording with 2 microphones. 2 songs incomplete. There is an inferior sounding audience recording where the show is complete.

Hi there!! :D :D :D.

Yes I agree, one of the best booth sounding recordings ever and better than several soundboards 8). Love it!. Here is a nice and very rare rendition of Trouble from the movie King Creole. Enjoy!. Bye for now :smt006.

We just had some discussion regarding soundbooth recordings at another topic including samples. Check it by reading from here on: http://www.elvis-collectors.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=74310#p1135517

The "Getting Down To Business" show is by far the best of the engagement, in this fan's opinion. I knew that the very first time that I listened to it.

It is a huge bonus that the sound quality is as good as it is.
