Thanks Doc - appreciate it. They are fraternal twins, and we're hoping for one boy and one girl. But more importantly, we hope they will be happy & healthy. Unfortunately, we lost our first child when we were expecting last year, and my wife became very ill. But so far, everything looks good.

Very, very sorry to read about last year. That's awful. I'm rooting for nothing but good things for both of you.

So I believe my presence on this CD collectors forum needs no discussion. That being said, I feel recently like I've reached a point where I need to be picky about what I want to add to my collection. AR's for instance are usually a no-go for me, but I did pick up the Gypsy-outing form Straight Arrows, just because I do like the show. Now, when it comes to VENUS, I do have all their previous releases minus one, and they usually are no-brainers for me because of the quality they deliver. Nonetheless, we're talking about an AR here, being beefed up a bit with a picturebook. I don't find it unreasonable to have second thoughts here: the reputation of VENUS which makes me wanna buy their stuff on one hand and my policy towards AR's on the other. I don't find it strange that people want to hear some samples first: some of us have only so much money to spend and want to make sure to get their money's worth. Being a CD collector of Elvis doesn't have to mean you have to get every disc that's being put out there. The fact that some people dismiss sample-seekers as wussies or just don't wanna hear anything critical about VENUS makes me wonder if it's only sheep who follow the shepherd.

What are you thoughts on my reply to your previous post?

You were a father at 60???

I'm much, much younger than you.

The knowledge comes from being a fervent Presley fan and rock 'n' roll scholar. Enjoy the magic. ;-)

Just received the cd and gave it a quick listen. It's an AR alright, and I do not particularly like those. So I'm gonna sell mine...

Always good to do your research and listen to sound samples before jumping in and shelling out that hard earned cash. Kinda glad I never ordered this one.

But Cisco, maybe some fans don't have this concert, maybe it is in better sound.

Sure, Francesc..but a new show in good sound is always more welcome..I know a lot..
it`s all a matter of research and efforts...but some prefer the way of copy and paste..

Sure, but there are not that many new shows released anymore.

Red Hot In Vegas already has a fantastic sound (for an AR). For those like me who loves a good audience record, the last few years have been great.

Was the red hot release a cdr?

There's a CD-R with the same name too (different concert).

Here`s the CD-R..

Releasing a show that was already done by SA tells me that they are beginners..

Thanks for posting the sample of Mystery Train/Tiger Man!
A cool version and a little longer than it used to be the last years he performed it.
Seems to me he really wanted to prove that he could still rock, perhaps as the Doc pointed out, because
Tom Jones was in the audience.

There are two Venus labels apparently...the good one and the bad one....the two met, they tangoed a bit, fell in love, then Uranus popped out of Mrs. Venus' belly.
