After taking a break, VENUS is now back, to present you more high quality products.
We kick off with the first volume of a new series of CD/Book combos on our sub-label:
VAR – Venus Ambient Recordings.
Presented as a hardcover book measuring 18x18cm, our first combo – Keeping Them Warm – contains 135 pages and is filled to the brim with pictures from the August/September 1972 Vegas season plus there’s a bonus section about the April 1972 tour, there will be many pictures you’ve never seen before.

The concert itself is the unreleased August 22, 1972 Midnight Show, presented in our usual Outer Space sound quality. Forget what’s been released by now from -so called- booth tapes. Even a Sound Board -where most of the action is missing- will have a hard time to compete. Now you can capture the atmosphere of an Elvis show as if you are present.
1 Introduction: Also Sprach Zarathustra 0:54 2 C.C. Rider 2:47 3 Johnny B. Goode 1:49 4 Proud Mary 2:48 5 Until It's Time For You To Go 3:33 6 You Don't Have To Say You Love Me 2:01 7 You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' 4:45 8 Polk Salad Annie 4:31 9 What Now My Love ? ( with false start ) 3:22 10 Fever 2:56 11 Love Me 2:13 12 Blue Suede Shoes 1:05 13 Heartbreak Hotel 1:47 14 All Shook Up 0:58 15 Little Sister / Get Back * 2:36 16 Love Me Tender 1:37 17 Hound Dog 2:37 18 I'll Remember You 2:26 19 Suspicious Minds 5:40 20 Band introductions 1:13 21 Elvis introduces Tom Jones 0:44 22 A Big Hunk 'O Love 2:07 23 Mystery Train / Tiger Man 2:44 24 Can't Help Falling In Love 1:39 25 Closing vamp 0:36
Total running time 59:41
* Tape was slightly damaged early into '' Little Sister ''

Stay tuned for our next volume in the Unedited Masters series plus another project of DVD/Book combos and don’t forget ....
If it sounds like from outer space, you can be sure it’s from VENUS.
Please note that this is a very limited release!

For a second I hoped for an unreleased soundboard show (after all it's Venus and you can expect quite a lot from them), but for the price I was offered the set for I simply couldn't not get it. :smt001

Is it soundboard or audience (both tape) recording?

Re: VENUS - Keeping Them Warm

It is both, and neither.

Interesting! So now we have a "side-label" from these guys.

The show has been out -- in OK quality -- on a CD-R called Portfire:

Portfire CD-R.JPG

It must be said that the presence of Tom Jones at this show is important, because Elvis always raised his game when the husky Welsh singer was in the audience.

And many will love how Presley takes care of ALL the singer, musician and orchestra introductions in about 1 minute. When he wanted to, Elvis could get down to business.

Yeah, the only reason Elvis raised his game was because Tom was so husky.

A text on how good the sound is doesn't say a lot.
Even if it's from outerspace Venus.

Package looks fantastic, but need to hear some samples first.

Intruiging.

It may be outer space sound, but it fails to tell us whether this was recorded by a member of the audience, through the soundboard or via alien spaceship.

It's recorded from Venus! :D

This I'm sure will be another quality release by one of the Top Importers of Elvis product's.

Venus may not be coming out and saying which it is, either soundboard or audience, but I have confidence in the label
when they say this is going to be like being there....
The quality of the tapes' are obviously going to be good and are going to be worth listening too !
Venus is a trusting Elvis label.
That's really all that's going to matter here, for now.
Yep, look's like this is a must have and the book is going to be a great bonus!

I've just ordered mine, Venus is a great import label. If the sound quality is similar to the Aloha Jerry CD I'll be more than happy with this, especially when it comes complete with the 135-page photo book. Looking forward to it! ::rocks

I've ordered a copy, taking a chance on Venus delivering another high quality release.
