Scotty Moore Website FB page

OK, I finally caved and created a Facebook page specifically for the website. This will facilitate notifying only interested parties, and possibly more of them, of any new additions or updates to the site (I'm not planning a whole lot). I will likely continue to notify you all as I do now but "like" the page anyway if you have facebook and this way you won't miss any. Recommend it to your friends too if you would. If there are enough likes from new fans I can always regurgitate and promote some of the older pages there. Check it out at http://facebook.com/ScottyMooreWebsite

Thanks,
Jim

I,m sure a few taster pages on there would get you some new visitors, It`s a great site and is a very fitting tribute to both Scotty and Elvis .
Thank you :) .

Thanks. The plan was to at least simplify the notifications so I don't wind up spamming the "friends" that aren't interested but if it increases the fan base a bit that can't be bad. I will at least be able to also plug peripheral things without cluttering the site. I might even see about making Gail an Admin if she wants so she can post status updates from the home front as she pleases. We'll see how it flies first.

I "like" it! :smt023

I've got it set to "notifications," and in my interest list "hobbies." (I should have one called "Elvis.")

Thanks, James!

Thanks for the "likes" folks,
I got rid of the first post I had pinned on FB that might have added to some confusion and added another with easier instructions. Taking Chad's suggestion I figured it might be time to add a content post so added this one (for those of you not on FB that want to see it)

Recently I was corresponding with Bill Black's daughter Nancy and we were talking about the Starlite Wranglers and I sent her this picture of them at the VA Hospital in Memphis. One of the first pages I added to Scotty's site when we started it was a quick one about them. I thought it fitting to kickoff the first content post here with a link to that and a nod to them Check out http://scottymoore.net/swranglers.html

Before all the fuss, Scotty was "Jamming on the USS Valley Forge." One great thing about the site was that it enabled Scotty to reunite with some old friends. Check out the story(s) in this link.

When Scotty got out of the Navy he bought a new guitar, though he didn't keep it long.

Shame that turned out to be a dead end..
Somebody somewhere has it (probably)... I'd love to know who!

When Scotty got the Esquire he also got one of these and would use it with the Wranglers and his first year with Elvis. see http://scottymoore.net/52deluxe.html

Scotty's Fender Esquire was short lived and he'd become almost synonomous with the guitar he replaced it with.

Woohoo, 500 likes and counting!

compared to the 8,399,669 that EPE has we're a bit behind. I'm going to get Scotty to start selling Scotty Moore rubber ducks.

Now if you tell a friend, and they tell a friend... http://scottymoore.net/like.htm
