remastering mpeg files

Hi guys,

a little off topic now. :oops:

I have a mpeg file with footage from 1972 but the quality is not very good.
Is it possible to run a program which makes the footage a little brighter?

What are you using to replay it?

With Windows Media Player there are video settings including brightness/colour controls.

Hi!

Yes I`m using Wndows Media player.
But I wanted to watch it on my TV and I thought that there might be a program making the mpeg file brighter etc. and than i could burn the VCD.
