I guess it would be either Tony Brown or David Briggs which ever one played with the TCB band the longest.

Duke Bardwell should have been an option since he played with them for about 18 months and for that time was considered a member of the band.

Charlie Hodge, J.D. Sumner and Joe Guercio absolutely not because they were part of different groups and they had completely different roles.

Obviously this is the core band... with the addition of the change in players on bass, piano and drums. The only additional instrument to the "core band" would have been played by Bobby Ogdin and David Briggs.
