In addition to his performances of "I want you, I need you, I love you" on television ( where, as per TRENDEX, the precursor of Nielsen,
he was seen by 22, then 40 million people during his appearances at both the NBC/TV's Milton Berle Show and the ABC TV Steve Allen Show, respectively, Elvis sang it at least a total of
sixteen times, , three of which during shows held at large outdoor venues and/or stadiums, and to a total cumulative audience nearing 100,000 people. The most he sang it, in one day, was in Atlanta, where he sang it three times on June 22, 1956. The biggest audience that saw him sing this song live, was at Russwood Park stadium, in Memphis, where 14,000 were present. Incidentally, Russwood Park and the Pan Pacific Auditorium in Los Angeles have one BIG thing in common. Yes, he gave a sort of incendiary performance in both of these places, but the trivia question is, what is the other BIG THING they have in common, other than Elvis played there?
