I'd be surprised if this is the FTD announcement. Flaming Star are behind these books. I reckon a general product announcement is due.

I agree with Matthew.

It has often been this way: books were announced seperately from the regular bunch of classic albums and soundboards. I do not understand the dissapointment. We will have new FTDs as I am sure an announcement is due. And for the books: for those who dig these it is great news. I however have to restrict my budget to audio. Just be glad: new, fresh, great FTD products are on its way, 35 years after Elvis died. Be glad we can still enjoy new material!

I can afford (barley) the cd's which are put forth and I enjoy every single one of them. But all of these books are just costing too much money. I want to support the label, but, unfortunately, the money dictates. I am really hoping that Matthew is correct. :(

How about this? FTD release a DVD????

From Argentina Fan Club:

FTD announced the launch of the book SUMMER OF '61 to April. There are amazing details of this release: first, FTD include a video in this package.

1) All recordings for the soundtrack
2) unpublished alternate takes of the album sessions POT LUCK.
3) Demo of the authors of IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE
4) 35mm Screen Test!

It seems a little bit strange that the will include a separate DVD disc just for couple of minutes long (probably) footage. They should have included some unreleased scenes or bloopers from the movie.

FTD doesnt have rights to the MGM vault, the only thing they will do is lose money if they tryd to buy anything from MGM
