This is not the first time that Straight Arrow and Touchdown have released the same show almost simultaneously. In my view, SA has delivered the better product with better sound and better packaging each time, so I know which one I will choose.

I will definitely have the Touchdown release only this time, although I have a lot of SA's earlier releases. But this time TDP (again) announced it long before, as they did a little while ago with this March 29, 1975 show.
BTW, if you take a closer look one might think the renowned Straight Arrow label is going to watch out what other labels will release in the future and then simply rush announce a release on their own.
Are we sure "Touchdown" and "Straight Arrow" are not the same person / people??!!

Coming soon; another 'new' label - "Desperate records".
They aren't. If they were, Cisco would constantly praise both labels and not just one.

Oh,..I didn`t write anything bad about the Touchdown,..did I..?
In the end the winner is quality..and SA stand for quality..

Hey Straight Arrow, thanks... but not thanks. I can do without these 1977 turkies. Why doncha acquire quality audience tapes of Elvis' show in Tulsa, july 4 1976 for us to enjoy ? I reckon you're holding out on us ?

Can you Find out if one of these is Tulsa 1976 ?

Gimme Atlanta...
But yeah, I guess Tulsa was a good one too.
Have to give SA credits, with the absence of new SB's, they manage to bring us interesting releases with good audience recorded sound.

Neither of them is my friend, so I can not tell anybody what to release or not, but I know that it's different people ... just wanted to answer the question, that's all.

Assuming that's if it was taped on a soundboard.

Somebody tell Straight Arrow to pull his wallet and fingers out and acquire the Tulsa 7-4-1976 show. Bugger 1977 concerts.

4 messages of yours containing the words Tulsa & 1976 should be more then enough rob lol
I for one welcome this release Both dates are elvis performing more then an OK job. Soundboard doesnt capture everything, and hides some things then when u have a audience tape.
Why cant no label do a job where they mix the soundboard and audience recording together, that way u get a diffrent kind of quality

Both shows are pretty good for 1977.
So i welcome both on pressed disc, in complete form.
What i don't understand is why Touchdown and SA release (again) the same show at the same time.
It it a "go" at some people?
Is there (again) a bootlegwar in the making, like in earlier days Baxter and DAE?
I hope not....

The sample from feb 14 is less "hollow" then before, so that's a good point.
The samples from the 18 are ok too, but the differennce is not that big as te above show.
Still, looking forward to it.
