Bill Avery --> Loving Elvis

Bill Avery was a legendary photographer who worked for many, including Paramount. Most of the fantastic photos you see from when Elvis was working on "Loving You" in early 1957 -- on set, off set, in studio -- were taken by him.

I found a site that holds examples of his work for Paramount, and many are of his work with Elvis, some previously-unseen:

Note that last image, as with many I have seen from that segment of the film is from an outtake on not in the movie.

It is indeed a worthy document of Elvis.

I'm surprised not too many are excited about this early 1957 Presley archive of Bill Avery images.

Wouldn't an FTD book project on "Loving You" using Bill Avery's images from Paramount and Radio Recorders be a hoot?

Imagine a nice little CD in the mix, and we have another brilliant keepsake.

Of course, we all know fans of FTD don't go as wild for Elvis in the '50s ...

I don't know who THAT was meant for {it was probably for somebody else}, but these are wonderful images, and if one is going to pay, it'd be nice to do so in the form of buying a book. They'd make a nice book. Wonderful photos. Thanks!
