Vegas showroom

Recently went to Vegas and visited the Former Hilton, now LV Hotel. Asked a few people around where the showroom was and was lead straight back and to the right from the entrance (through the casino) where a showroom was indeed. My question is can someone with greater knowledge than me and the people I casually ran into at the hotel confirm that this indeed is the stage where Elvis performed 69 to 76? A guy took me backstage and showed me a spot that has different color wood than the rest of the flooring, and said that this was made this way to mark the spot where Elvis stood prior to coming on stage, didn't know if they were pulling my leg, or they didn't really know, so I wanted someone really knowledgeable, perhaps even someone who attended an Elvis show in Vegas, to confirm I was even in the very room and viewing the stage that Elvis actually performed on. Thanks, Mark

Yes, it is indeed the showroom where Elvis performed. It's been altered and remodeled since he last performed there though. The stage has been raised and they took out all of the booths and replaced them with seats on the floor like in an arena. No more tables like seen in That's The Way It Is.

The suite on the top floor where Elvis stayed has also been renovated and expanded. It was originally 5,000 square feet when Elvis lived there but is now 10,000 square feet. His master bedroom, bath and outdoor pool are all still there as part of the newly remodeled suite. It's a sight to see! Looks very swanky and even for Elvis' time was larger than life.

Thanks for reply. You've been in Elvis suite? How? Is one able to show up and ask to go in?

SuspiciousMind, you have been in the Showroom during Elvis life, after or both?
