...It's not that people don't like Elvis, it is that he has almost completely fallen off the radar, and no-one cares about him at the moment.
No doubt that will change at some point and interest will once again pick up.
But at the moment, it just ain't there.

One thing that makes a song a hit, these days, is being featured in a popular film or advert.

If only that happened to our boy, things could be very different.....................

I agree, and it only takes the use of a song in a film to catch on and then the whole thing changes and suddenly "Elvis is Back" - as happened with Oceans Eleven, of course. The use of A Little Less Conversation in that film led, I believe, to the success of E1vis and 2nd to None compilations and, no doubt, played a part in the success of the 1968 Tv Special and Aloha DVDs. But unti that happens again...
