Why would they bother when the PFAP and MSG Legacy sets bombed commercially? Besides, when I want to 'relive' Aloha, I watch the dvds.

Is any blank screen promised?

A release such as this would be pointless to me. I never listen to a CD of Aloha.

Never ever.

Have they ever done a sync-up with the multi-track audio and the video master?

If not, perhaps a new 7.1 mix with the image would be good to experience.

Not interested personally and I think it would be a bomb commercially.

Will they include choppy, edited press conferences?

Enough PFAP bullying!

If the Aloha cd/dvd package is done, will it actually be available in store?

I'd have to see what's on it before deciding if I'd want to get it or not

The best way to handle Aloha would surely be a Legacy edition without DVD of a remixed rehearsal alongside the main show. It's not artistically a great show, but it is an important one, and so a Legacy edition would make sense.

absolutely no doubt aloha is coming and we don`t need any sony rep to confirm it, it`s a no brainer especially on the 40th anniversary, how its presented now is another question but you can be sure that the rehearsal show will also be included and obviously a nice booklet. Now whether you buy it or not is up too you but I`ll be ordering my copy for sure, hope they do it along the lines of PFAP and include a dvd from the special showing in January from Hawaii. The casual Elvis fan are well aware of AFH from `73 and would make a great legacy edition for sure!!

What a bunch of whiners.

I'll buy it if it's remixed for sure.
Two good shows from '73 sounds
good to me.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I can't get excited over yet another Aloha from Hawaii release. If a video is included like the MSG box set, is there actually video we haven't seen? Is there actually audio we haven't heard? :smt017

PFAP was produced in small numbers and those numbers will probably sell out or come close to it. If Sony's expectations had been greater, presumably they would have produced more.

It will be interesting if it is an dvd.
Then they can have the original soundtrackk.
Another one with a new soundmix.
And another one with interviews with musician and producer of the show.
Including all that the japanese tv crew filmed. :D  :smt003 :smt006

Speaking of Aloha, has any rehearsal audio ever surfaced? I don't mean the rehearsal show, but any rehearsals Elvis had prior to the performances.

The only issue there is that the Legacy editions have not, to this point, been remixes, only remastered. Regardless of how it comes out, I would welcome a remix of both shows.

The Alternate Aloha show is crying out for a remix and reissue. For better or worse, this is Elvis' landmark gig, so I think a PFAP style treatment could be a good idea.

The Pool Side Interview COULD be found any minute now and it MIGHT be included on an EIC official release
If audio improvement is as thrilling as it was on PFAP and price would be the same, sure I would buy the Aloha box. This reissue makes a lot more sense than say - the reissue of the 70s masters on Hits Of The 70s FTD.
