A completely useless topic for Elvis Found Alive

Thu Nov 29, 2012 8:06 pm

Sorry I had to post and ask. What actor portrayed the voice of Elvis in that movie? IMDB credits Jon BUrrows, which makes me want to punch the director and my screen. Thanks.

I think it may be Elvis' cousin Terry Smith but I'm not sure..

I think I saw somewhere that JIm Brown did the soundtrack. Maybe he did the voice? Actually, IMO, the voice isnt all that bad to me (when compared to This Is Elvis).
Just sounds like the guy is reading his lines in EFA vs talking his lines.

The movie was a "fun" 90 minutes anyway.

No, this is another guy, Ron Jesse:

Jim Brown is better, in my opinion:

WOW!!!!!! He's damn close to Elvis's own voice, IMO. Reminds me of Jimmy Ellis/Orion, actually.

Does Jim have a FB page?

I disagree. I think he sounds fine. He's better than some of the professional ETAs out there.

It's not that bad. But it's so not Elvis Presley.

I agree. He's close, though.......but, like you said, there was only one Elvis and nobody will ever have a voice like his (I'll go so far as to say not even David Darlock, who was the person beind the "Is Elvis Alive?" monologue).

He's close ... really :?: He sounds like every other impersonator.

I think it was Jack Soden who hit the nail on the head - all Elvis impersonators sound like each other but none of them sound like Elvis.

No, he's not close. He sounds like someone trying to imitate him. The vocal is insincere.

Like Diamond Dave once said, "if there was a God, Elvis would still be alive and all the impersonators would be dead" !!!

Neither Jim Brown or Ron Jesse had anything to do with this movie or its soundtrack. The guy portraying Elvis in the movie is "Sivle Nora" - a "nameless" Elvis sound-alike. Actually, I don't know if anyone besides Steven Chanzes even knows his real name. Someone has said "Sivle" might be Thomas Stevens (aka "Thomas A. Presley"), but I've listened to him on YouTube, and I'm 100% sure it's not Thomas in the film. It's not Jon Cotner, Tony "Arion" Richards, Dale "Eli" Culbertson or Larry "Double El" Blong either. It's not any of the ETA's I'm aware of. It's not David Darlock, unless he didn't actually appear on the previously mentioned cassette, but Jon Cotner did instead (actually, the guy on the "Is Elvis Alive?" cassette does sound a lot like Mr. Cotner). The camera view is dark in general, but at one spot the viewer can briefly see the man's face. The picture is still not clear enough to reveal too much details, but it's clear that the guy does NOT look like Elvis at all. That said... he looks scarily close to VERNON. The profile is very similar, and at times his facial look comes through, showing his eyes, nose and mouth looking a LOT like ol' Vern. They could be close relatives judging by the looks they share. Who the hell is the man?
