Have you bought HITS OF THE 70's?

I've got it! It's a great compilation album. Since I have the LP and also made my own CDR with bonus' I like this very much. Listening to disc 2 first and it sounds good. And it states that it is My Way from Elvis In Concert which sounds very good on this release! But, If you have the 70's box set, you got your singles there as well.

I've reluctantly ordered it as a completist but had to think twice.I hope this is a one off as next time I won't get such a release.

Don't know whether I should trade them or sale them.
Just don't tell the person(s) who gave them to me.

Yes, I have bought it to have the FTD collection complete. I have listened to it once, now it's stored in my shelve forever.

But if they are coming up with such stupid discs (seems to me almost like these Dutch "How to make a quick buck" series of old vinyl records) I think that I have to think it over if I still want to have my FTD collection complete in the future.

I havent bought an FTD since Jailhouse Rock. The only 'completist' sceanrio I ever cared about are the records that came out in his lifetime. Everything since then doesnt have the same meaning to me with a few exceptiions. This release is a total joke IMO.

FTD mistakenly included the April 25th, 1977 performance (from Platinum and Spring Tours) instead of the correct June 21st, 1977 performance (from Elvis In Concert) that appeared as a single and was one of Elvis' "Hits of the 70s", and from which the sleeve is emblazoned in the booklet. Go figure!
