These kind of audience-recorded, privately-released CDs have a small pressing run, and since this one came out quite a while ago there is a "collectibility" factor. But, as noted, the audio is not too good.

You're welcome, lpa.
Even with the collectibility factor that drjohn mentioned, it seems overpriced at
£55.

Don`t pay 55 pounds...please....that`s insane..
there is also a slight chance that it might be
re-released..as many before..

What I like about this show is the intro to "Little Sister". It's probably the only time it's been played this way during any of Elvis shows in the 70es.

Yeah, that's a nice touch. And the fact that the shows only got
better after New York, on this tour , says something about how good he still could be... when he wanted to!

One of the best tour shows he ever did.

It is a really good show from a great tour. Elvis was really solid at this point in his career. It always seems that the crowds from Chicago were always supportive, excited, and loud when Elvis played there.

Cool, thanks.
That's pretty good sound for a 1972 audience recording.
Especially given the fact that the Chicago Stadium was known for bad acoustics.
Is this show available somewhere?
(Besides ebay

)

If they did I am sure the tapes are in private hands.

Doesn't sound fake edited to my ears, at least...

i dont think so either, the chicago shows where something in their own way if u look at the setlists from chicago, My Babe, Now Or Never, Reconsider Baby, Something

It sounds legit and actually really awesome like Elvis is going make a real stab at singing "Little Sister". The strange thing is why the intro was not used in the early shows in Vegas from January and February or even if we go back to August 1970. Even there he just sord of jumps into it. Does anyone know if this pattern continued throughout the summer of 1972?

Great show. Pity Elvis had a bucket on his head when it was recorded.

In this fan's opinion, the June '72 tour was one of the best he ever did.
He was kickin' ass and takin' names.
