1984 U.S CD'S THAT WERE MADE IN JAPAN

Hi all!
I am curious as to the value of these cd's.I purchased a number of cd's from a person in the U.S last year and recently i read about the early U.S cd's having to be Made in Japan.The article also stated that they were valuble, i checked the cd's that i bought and there are a number of the CD's that were Made in Japan.These cd's are early U.S cd's but i have them on a shelf with my other not so valuble cd's. I was wondering should i put them with the valuble Promo's that i have and maybe get the newer versions of these cd's as i don't want to damage them if they are valuble.
