Unedited Masters - Hollywood To Nashville 1972-1980

The new volume in the "Unedited Masters" series sub-titled "Hollywood To Nashville 1972-1980" is out now. According to their flyer this is the best of that series with several "firsts" such as the overdubbed version of "It's A Matter Of Time" taken directly from studio tape instead of a scratchy acetate, an X-rated ending of "the first take" of "Fool", first release of the 1980 re-recording of "For Ol' Times Sake" which is one of their best re-recording but still unreleased to this day. See the flyer for all the details concerning this new release from Venus Productions.

Hopefully "Feelings" will finally be in the tracklisting once and for all. It's been a long and gruelling wait.

The picture is beautiful, although a bit somber...

I'd say February 3, 1976 at Graceland. We have others from that day where Elvis is dressed just like on this one.

Thanks. I gotta admit the shot used by Venus is much more appealing as Elvis does look much better in it.

which proves he looked much better out of a jumpsuit than in one at that point!

I assume the "1980 Re-Recordings" are Felton Jarvis's re-mixes.

These type of releases are beginning to look very repetitive for the most part.

I'll pass on this.

I have given the previous Venus unedited masters quite a few spins. Some of the cuts are not what they say they are but they sound great and are an enjoyable listening experience nonetheless.
My order is in for this one.

Is it really an unreleased photo, or is it the familiar shot, photoshopped?

The lighting is quite different, the shades are yellow, but with the exception of the lock of hair over his forehead, they look pretty much the same.

Was he posing for the album cover? He certainly wasn't in the habit of sitting for photo shoots by this point. Perhaps they explored the idea of using a photo of Elvis at home for an album they were calling "Elvis At Home."

Is he drugged on the photo..?

He seems like straight looking through you..

Anyway..I love all versions of Always On My Mind..and the string dubbed..especially.

I have ordered it...seems like an interesting release..

Thanks to Ernst Joergensen, Roger Semon and Erik Rasmussen for the great work. Keep the spirit alive !

Interesting image aswell, and something I haven't seen before.
