Prince From Another Planet --> MSG Set Due Out In September

I got to be on the Elvis radio show in the trivia contest. I didn't win first place but I got second out of three people. Both guys were on before and both had won before.

I only missed one question but the first guy didn't miss any.

I won the CD sampler of "Prince Of Another Planet"!!!

The guy that won first place won a T-Shirt!!

I was so happy I got 2nd place!!

The question I missed was, "How much money did Elvis have to spend to rent out Liberty Land for the night?"

I guessed $2000 but the correct answer was $2500.

I wished I had the good Doc with me.

Course then I would have won the T-Shirt!!

I also got "A Boy From Tupelo" set today at the Heartbreak Hotel gift shop.

It's really heavy. Nice to have it in my hands!

When you do get the CD sampler in the mail around November, please do tell us what the sound quality is like.

Over 2 months to go, and still can't wait to hear the improvement on the sound.

Wish they would do something with the Aloha next because I will always say that it sounds too fast.

Got it the same day as the contest. Not going to open it. I collect them and it's worth more sealed.

My friend and his wife attended to that concert and they both got that CD. His wife sent me that CD as a gift and now I'm waiting for to get it. My friend's opinion about That's All Right is that it sounds "stunning good!"

Sirius is playing cuts from the set. I heard That's All Right yesterday and it sounds really great (even on radio) lots of punch and great mix also. Really a significant improvement to my ears.

Holy Batman. It is now priced at £14 on the UK Amazon website.

I caught some samples on Elvis Radio just now. They played "That's All Right", "Proud Mary" and "Never Been to Spain" from the afternoon show and "Hound Dog" and "Suspicious Minds" from the evening show.

They played it during the John Jackson (Legacy) guest spot.

Hearing it in Elvis Radio's shady quality on my little Sirius boombox, my impression was that the mix in general is an improvement over the previous releases, for both shows. Elvis' voice is clearer in the mix, sometimes still competing with the horns during louder moments, crescendos and such... Elvis could be a little more upfront, to my ears... and while the audience isn't distractingly loud, it could be lower in the mix.

Overall I cant wait to get this set, it's on Pre-Order!

They have it titled wrong, but it is no doubt the MSG Legacy Edition.

Just wondering: If you have a store close enough, why not go to the store the day it's released and buy it rather than possibly waiting for shipping?


I am looking forward to going to my Walmart and purchasing this long awaited release (something we don't get to do very often anymore!).

I know lots of people that didn't buy Bruce Springsteen's "Wrecking Ball" for the same reason.

They missed out on a fine album, possibly his best since "The Rising"
