Not on CD, "Daryl."
And since the MRS disc will be sourced from the CD, this is why the 1998 CD box set was cited.
I hope this helps you.

How can there be? Ernst put it out first, in 1998

And Ernst didn't put out the show first as you stated.

Neither did Joan Dreary.

There doesn't appear to be an upgraded source available. I am happy that FTD has focused its efforts in other ways. Perhaps Sony is still figuring out the best way to reissue the '61 show in terms of what kind of project to associate it with. I personally never felt that a stand-alone release would have been that interesting.

Could you give us your proof that the material will be sourced from the boxed set? At the moment, you and others have given no more proof that it is coming from the EAP set than those who say it isn't.

midnightx wrote:Yes, it is one of the greatest Presley concert recordings in existence. It has previously been issued by RCA twice. Had FTD issued it, yes, it would have been a wonderful addition to the FTD catalogue; but considering how many fans constantly gripe that FTD reissues previously released material, one can only imagine the backlash FTD would have received had it made the Hawaii '61 a standard, stand-alone release. Clearly you are the one "sniffing" something if you can't recognize that fact. The Hawaii '61 show should be reissued as part of a larger-scale project. At one point, forum member Matthew suggested this stellar concert should be part of a Legacy Edition of Elvis Is Back (although that opportunity slipped away when Legacy went the two-fer route with that title). Still, that line of thinking makes more sense.
