Re: Ginger Alden
Has Elvis Presley's ' final girlfriend made any appearances at an Elvis event or done the rounds on the talkshow circuit ?
I give Ginger credit as she has never written a book and apart from a 1980 interview with David Frost has stayed away from the Elvis post -death bandwagon. What do fans think of her?

Re: Ginger Alden
Another question if I May ? Do fans out there think that Ginger Alden should write a book regarding her life and relationship with Elvis? I say YES, as enough years have past. Also a chance for her to set the record straight about the day she found Elvis dead and also what her actions were following.

This should be in the 'All Elvis' section. Where would we be without the forum police?
I'm assuming the interview with Frost was in that TV special he did though I can't remember too much about it. Apart from that and an interview on ebay I'm not aware of anything. With regard to a possible book she was the last person to see him alive and witness him going into freefall from Oct 1976 to August 1977 so she certainly has a story to tell and no one is going to criticize her for it. My view is that the events of August 16th 1977 put no one who was there is a positive light. In Ginger's case stories about getting herself made up, calling her mum, the National Enquirer before raising the alarm have been doing the rounds for years. She had several gifts Elvis gave her and perhaps thought it best to keep schtum. Just my 2c.

Re: Ginger Alden
Still an attractive lady.
There is no rea$on for her to write a book.
What should she write? That people who were not even there tell lies about her actions that fatal day?

Re: Ginger Alden
Exactly Delboy. This is what I was alluding to. In 1991 there was a book called THE DEATH OF ELVIS and it described Ginger as a very negative calculating type. As have some within the Elvis circle and fans. It's to her credit she has kept a dignified silence.Delboy wrote:This should be in the 'All Elvis' section. Where would we be without the forum police?

Unlike some within the Elvis circle, who discredit Ginger, Vernon, The Colonel, Lisa, Priscilla and others within the Elvis circleRobt wrote:Exactly Delboy. This is what I was alluding to. Re: Ginger Alden
What is Ginger really going to say? That she was madly in love with a drug addict, who didn't shower, and who was in terrible physical shape? Ginger's motives have always been suspect. It is doubtful she would ever offer a truthful account of that troubling period of Elvis' life. She witnessed the final stages of his demise and nothing she provides is going to change how she is generally viewed. If she is honest, she looks bad. If she sugarcoats it, she looks bad. Hence, the reason she has kept quiet for so many years.

Re: Ginger Alden
You are entitled to your view but one thing you must admit is, she does have SOME story to tell, ie a young woman in her late teens who was in a complex romance with an icon and was subsequently and unfairly blamed by some members of the Presley entourage for his death.
So I hope that she does publish her memoirs and she will certainly be able to provide a unique take on Elvis' final days like no other person.
It is extraordinary that she has been so quiet all these years, while others were out to make a quick buck, she has remained silent...that alone deserves a little respect.

Re: Ginger Alden
She keeps quiet, but one of her sisters has a habit of embellishing the relationship. And lo to the person who inadvertently crosses her. I was Facebook friends with her for about 48 hours, until she discovered that I was also friends with Dr. Nick. She sent me a nasty message, then defriended and blocked me.midnightx wrote:What is Ginger really going to say? Took me months to get over it.

Really? What if she isn't truthful? The truth will only make her look bad.Robt wrote:So I hope that she does publish her memoirs and she will certainly be able to provide a unique take on Elvis' final days like no other person.
Her silence has already been commented on; and it most likely has something to do with how bad she will look regardless of how she conveys her story.Robt wrote:It is extraordinary that she has been so quiet all these years, while others were out to make a quick buck, she has remained silent...that alone deserves a little respect.

And I replied You're entitled to that view. Another point is Ginger does have "her story" post Elvis including her brief film and television stuff.

I think most people would consider that Ginger was with Elvis at a very tough time.

Re: Ginger Alden
Indepth analysis of his life and career. It doesn't take much to come to that reasonable conclusion if you do your homework. Unless Ginger was honest about her intentions and what went down during Elvis final months, she would bring nothing to the table.Robt wrote:How do you know ? And your source is?

Re: Ginger Alden
Yeah I know I read that book by Thompson and Cole too. They obviously disliked Ginger. I reckon other's in the Presley bandwagon had an axe to grind over her. Any other books and sources that you base your view her being less than honest, my friend.midnightx wrote:Indepth analysis of his life and career.
