That looks like a fake. The label is just too pristine after all these years.

Re: ANOTHER COOL ELVIS ACETATE.
My guess is "fake."
"Fool, Fool, Fool" was cut at a Lubbock radio station, not in Memphis. And it was mis-titled on that 1955 acetate as "What A Fool I Was."

Re: ANOTHER COOL ELVIS ACETATE.
If RCA/SONY had been more fothcoming as to where they sourced their version from we might have a clue.
There was nothing to stop Elvis having a tape or acetate copy which he had duplicated in Memhis.

Re: ANOTHER COOL ELVIS ACETATE.
There is a photo of the Lubbock acetate in the 50s box booklet. Ernst stated in more than one interview that is where the track is from. That's pretty forthcoming.KiwiAlan wrote:If RCA/SONY had been more fothcoming as to where they sourced their version from we might have a clue.
You must have missed that release and those interviews. Hope this helps.

Re: ANOTHER COOL ELVIS ACETATE.
It's a fake ......
If it was real the Seller would'nt be open to offers before listing ends .
The description is also suspect .
He is just trying to unload .

Re: ANOTHER COOL ELVIS ACETATE.
It has come to my attention through Lee Dawson EER
http://www.elvis-express.com/
the person trying to sell the fake acetate for ‘Fool! Fool! Fool!’
contacted Lee/EER about a month ago asking him to authenticate the acetate.
Lee explained to this person why it was a fake and advised him to get his money back
from the seller whom he bought the item from .
It would appear this buyer got ripped off and now wants to rip off someone else, by default.
Bottom line, the guy who just recently ended the auction knows it is fake and if another
auction comes about regarding this fake acetate for ‘Fool! Fool! Fool!’
it should be of course avoided.

To see other bogus Elvis items everyone should be made aware of.
